Overview

A Plan Built Around How You Actually Use Your Yard

Most landscapes go wrong for one of two reasons: they weren't planned for the site, or nobody kept up with them. We handle both. We walk the property with you, look at sun, drainage, salt exposure and where you spend your time outside, then show you the design in 3D before anything goes in the ground. Once it's installed, the same company maintains it, so everything fills in the way it was designed to.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use you for the installation if you do the design?

No. But most clients do, because the crew that builds it has already seen the plan in 3D and knows exactly what it should look like.

When should I start planning a spring project?

Winter is the best time. It gives us time to design, make revisions, order materials and handle any permits, so you're on the schedule before spring fills up.

What plants actually hold up on the Cape?

Plants that can handle sandy soil, salt air and wind: hydrangeas, beach rose, bayberry, inkberry, switchgrass and little bluestem, among others. We pick plants for your exact spot, not a catalog.

Deer eat everything in my yard. Can you work around that?

Yes. We design with deer-resistant plantings wherever we can and put the more vulnerable plants where they're easier to protect.

Can you take over a landscape another company installed?

Absolutely. We'll walk the property, see what's working and what isn't, and set up a maintenance plan from there.

We're only here in the summer. Can you look after the property while we're off-Cape?

Yes. We keep the landscape maintained on schedule and can send photo updates so you know how things look before you arrive.

My property is near wetlands or the water. Is that a problem?

Not a problem, just more planning. Work near wetlands and coastal areas often needs Conservation Commission approval, and we'll help you through that process.

How much does landscape design cost?

It depends on the size of the property and the scope of the project. After the site visit, you'll get a written estimate with no surprises.
