Overview
Tree Work Done Safely, With Your Home in Mind
Between nor'easters, summer storms and pests like winter moth and southern pine beetle, Cape trees take a beating, and a lot of properties have big oaks and pitch pines leaning over the house. We prune to keep trees healthy and off the roof, take down the ones that have become a risk, and clean up so you'd barely know we were there.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured for tree work. We're happy to send a certificate of insurance before we start.
Do I need a permit to take down a tree?
Usually not on private property. Near wetlands or the coast, the town's Conservation Commission may need to approve it, and trees in historic districts or along scenic roads can have their own rules. We'll let you know before we start.
How do I know if a tree is dangerous?
Warning signs include dead branches, cracks in the trunk, mushrooms at the base, a new lean or large limbs hanging over the house. If you're not sure, text us a photo and we'll take a look.
When is the best time to prune?
For most trees, late winter while they're dormant. Dead or hazardous branches should come down any time of year.
What's happening to the oaks and pitch pines on the Cape?
Winter moth caterpillars have been stripping oaks in the spring, and southern pine beetle has been found on the Cape. A tree assessment can catch problems early, before a tree becomes a hazard.
